Pure Love with Marielle!

Image
Hello from Canada ! I hope you are all enjoying the Summer and that you are finding a bit of time to get creative !! I used to do a lot of cross stitching and I have an incredible stash of  embroidery floss, so I thought it would be fun to use some on this layout of my niece and her sweet baby girl. Supplies are from the beautiful August main kit . Pure Love by Marielle Step 1- Adhere a 6 1/2" X 7 3/4" piece of floral paper to upper left of cardtock and an other piece 6 1/2" X 4" , leaving a small slit between the 2 pieces. Step 2- Pierce each edge of papers with a sewing needle the entire length of the floral paper. Step 3- Using your favorite color of floss make small x's between the 2 paper pieces. Step 4- You can add more stitches anywhere on your layout to make it extra special. Thanks for dropping in !! Happy Crafting , Marielle

Sweet Memories with Yvette!

Hi My Creative Scrapbook Friends! Yvette here today with a step-by-step tutorial using the  August main kit!    I often turn to a sketch or a cut file for inspiration when creating a layout, so I'm super excited to incorporate both this month's cut file and sketch to document a sweet moment between my son and his Grandmother. Here's a look at this month's fabulous sketch designed by Laura Whitaker!   August cut files.... Gather all my supplies.... I started by matting my photos with the reverse side of the 'Bloomed' patterned paper from the 'Full Bloom' collection by Kaisercraft. Next, I started building my layers behind my photos...patterned papers, a couple of tags, as well as one of the cut aparts journaling card which I fussy cut and tucked it underneath the bottom edge of my photos.        You will notice there's a mixed media background on the sketch, I achieve this by bring in a few different colors ink splatters. I chose to use multi...

Traveler Notebook by Dorymar!

Image
Hello Friends! It's Dorymar here, today and I'm sharing a beautiful Traveler’s Notebook. Last month I traveled to my country to offer a class and visit my family and friends and the best way to document those joyful moments is to make a traveler's book. I used the wonderful August Main Kit to do it. To create my own traveler's notebook, I used 5 white cardstocks of 8 ¼ x 8¼ and one of 8 ½ x 8 ½ to make the cover.   All scored in half. To give it a personal touch, before sewing, I used the stamps included in the kit to  create my own backgrounds. Then with my stitch happy I stitched all the pages in the center to form the notebook. Since I have my notebook ready, it is time to decorate and document all the experiences of this trip! Most of the pages were created using stamps from the kit.    I have combined some die cuts and stickers with stamps to create these pages.   ...
