Step 5- Add a few layers of patterned paper under your photo. Step 6- Fussy cut a strip of the hexagone paper and adhere under the edge of the white cardstock. Step 7-Add a few strips of papterned papers at the bottom right. Machine stitch into place,if desired. Step 8- Add title, I used Thickers from a previous kit and one of the journaling cards. Blessed with Monique

Image
Hello everyone, it's Monique here, with a detailed step-by-step of my "Blessed" layout. The June kit with the Early Bird collection from Bo Bunny contained the most amazing papers, like the sheet with all the clocks, which was definitely one of my favorites! This is the page I made: Here's how I created it: I started with the white cardstock and selected five different color mists, inks, etc.. which I sprayed and splattered horizontally over the center of my white cardstock like this: Also included in the kit is this stamp set from 1Canoe 2 and I used a few of the stamps for my background as well: I placed my photo on the cardstock background, below the stamped word "love" and punched and cut a series of clocks from the "Clocks" sheet: Moving the clocks this way and that I came up with this design, which I quite liked. Except for the 10 clocks I also added a few die-cuts (butterfly and flowers): I cut two strips from the paper "Time Flies...

Card share with Tracy!

Welcome back crafty friends! Today I am sharing a sweet little project that I created using the June Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook, featuring the Early Bird Collection from Bo Bunny. I always like to create a few cards with the left over bits and pieces of a kit, and this collection had so many sweet embellishments with a tea theme. I just had to create a little git card with those embellishments. The card base is 6x6 in white cardstock. Cut the teal patterned paper to 5.5x5.5. Adhere to the card base. Cut a strip of the pink patterned paper to go all the way across the card. Find the large wreath die cut, and the smaller clock image to go in the middle and cover the sentiment. Adhere this piece to the card using 3D foam squares. Add the "Time For Tea" chipboard embellishment to the middle of the card. Cut apiece of the pink and yellow patterned paper that is 1.75x6. Adhere to the inside of the card with adhesive along the sides and bottom of the patterned paper to crea...

Quilting on a layout with Madeline

Image
My idea for this, the first page that I created with My Creative Scrapbook's June main kit, was to piece together a quilt-like center portion from all the beautiful patterned papers in the kit. But first, I created a background with a bit of spray and several splatters of mist on white cardstock: Next I cut 2-inch squares from the patterned papers that I chose. A paper punch would have made this so much easier! ;) I also wanted to use a couple of thin strips from this paper: Specifically, these. (You'll see!)  Here are my strips and squares, inked and arranged in the center of my background paper: After adhering my photo to the upper right hand side, I began my title on the lower left, using a wood veneer word from 1Canoe2, then finished the phrase with Thickers (all included in June's main kit): Layered chipboard pieces enhance the title, and add dimension to the page elsewhere: One of the patterned papers in the kit was made to be cut up into journaling blocks, embellishi...

Gorgeous Layout by Shona!

Image
Hi everyone!   I am back with another share from the gorgeous June Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook. Today I have an easy was to create a different background. First I cut and punched out a few circles to add to the background…I distressed the edges of each circle. Next I used one of the awesome stencils in the kit with some 13 Arts Modeling paste and heat set that. Add the circles and some gauze for added texture. I did a bit of stamping and started to add embellishments from the kit. Add more embellishments from the kit…Creative Embellishments chipboard pieces, pretty flowers, and I finished it all off with some 3D balls and gesso splatters. A couple more close ups. Livvy is helping her mom get some photos here and approves of the layout hehe. That is it for me today. Make sure to check out all the amazing kits available this month! Take care and happy scrapping!
